What is acupuncture?

Ancient treatment of Chinese origin applied from 3000 BC. approx.  Consists of inserting thin metal needles into specific parts of the body.

Acupuncture treatment usually includes 6 to 10 sessions done 2 to 3 times a week, and in some cases, it may need to be repeated. In chronic cases more long-term sessions are needed

The sessions take place in a comfortable environment, properly air-conditioned, in order to achieve the maximum possible relaxation for the patient and the greatest therapeutic result. Each session usually uses 12 to 25 special, sterile, disposable, high-quality needles for safety and pain relief.

The assessment of each clinical case, the determination of the points where the needles will be inserted, as well as the application of the session itself must always be done by a certified acupuncturist (Government Gazette No. Prot. Υ7 / ΟΙΚ / 4270 / 25-6-96 ).
